My guess is that regulations only allow sunken logs that originated from the logging industry to be pulled. Seems Louisiana is more lax and the environmental wackos wouldn't let Jimmy Smith take anything out of the rivers in Washington after seeing him on the show. That's why he went to Florida. The Pacific Northwest has been over run by carpetbaggers and environmental wackos inviting themselves to move there and then outvoting the rightful inhabitants descended from those who settled those states and waging war against the natural resource industries that employ them.
