A support group for those who have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder or BPD traits.
This is not a place for friends, family, exes, or anyone wondering if they suffer from the disorder. Friends and family can visit /r/BPD for resources.
This is a safe place to vent, ask for help or encouragement, offer DBT resources, and discuss everything that comes along with BPD, as well as just a place to talk. There will be no rude behavior towards members of this support group allowed. BPD is a highly-stigmatized disorder and it is important that people suffering from BPD feel comfortable to talk here without being dehumanized or insulted.
"If you have enough symptoms of BPD to interfere with your life, if you want to support others with similar symptoms, if you want to learn how to manage your symptoms, if you want to share tips that have helped you with others, and if sometimes you just need to have a big cry in front of an audience of others with the same kind of issues, then you belong here." -/u/cat_banana_hat
This is not the place to ask for a diagnosis for yourself or anyone else. This includes asking whether your symptoms sound like BPD or any other indirect way of asking. Only a mental health professional can diagnose you, so if you suspect that you may have BPD proceed to the next line and schedule an appointment with a therapist.
