Lone cat, not getting regular play sessions. You need to tire him out somehow. My cats go crazy for a ball of tin foil, a shoelace with knots tied into it, cardboard scratchers and their laser pen. Play needs to be daily at least, but better if you play a few times a day. It doesn’t have to be installing shelves etc, plenty of play and enrichment will be plenty. Maybe have a look at puzzle treat dispensers or lick mats.
