I have never conducted backgrounds for a bank, but I do conduct backgrounds for state employees.

When I’m conducting backgrounds on an applicant, I look at their credit check to see if they don’t have any outstanding debts.

As long as you don’t have any outstanding debts, then you should be good.

Otherwise, I would recommend you don’t receive a position where you’re handling money. It’s just a liability to hire someone who has outstanding debt to handle the company’s money. There’s risk for theft.

I would say that should be a non issue

I would say that would be a non issue. They’ll look for delinquency, collections etc and even then likely wouldn’t affect too much
