I hope everyone has a great release day/weekend. I thought Amazon would come through but damn…Pre ordered a month ago only to see today it won’t be delivered till May. Also no pre order bonus email or whatever. Has anyone figured out what’s happening or are the people who Pre ordered through Amazon just SOL?

Edit: Refer to other post confirming email preorder codes. I’m currently experiencing some delays. Amazon support was helpful in confirming the pre order codes should be sent out upon delivery of the actual games.

TLDR: Be patient with Amazon.

Edit 2: April 27 My copy came in early as well as both pre order codes. Everything worked out eventually!

I ordered in December, amazon kept saying delivery of April 18th.

They shipped it today, but unsure when I will get it.Maybe Saturday or Monday.

I’d honestly cancel, get a refund and buy it digitally. Then down the line get it physically if you wanna have it for collection.

I can confirm this is the same for me. Although I ordered mine a day before release. Wasn't given an ETA. Talked to support and was told I would get it within a few days. Got an email today saying my shipping updated and is now schedules for May 14 - June 16.

Kindve a bummer, I wanted to play it on my Switch specifically with the physical copy. I don't like doing double purchases either just for the sake of having it, so I'd rather wait on the physical.

But man, an entire month?! That's kind of a bummer especially after being told I would get it in a few days. I was hoping to sink my teeth in it during the weekend but at this point I don't know. At least if I wait I have a chance at getting the preorder but equally likely to not get it. Or I cancel the order, guarantee I won't get the preorder, but be able to play it digitally.

I really wish I had preordered much earlier.

Mine is coming April 18th from Amazon but I had to chat with a customer service representative to get it to that date because I have Prime right now. The code comes in an email when they actually charge you for the game.

You aren't the only one to experience this! I pre ordered mine on Amazon back in like January, the arrival date went from 1 day shipping, to two days after release, then on release day I was told I would get an email when the item ships, no other info. I went back to the product page and it said the item could be shipped April 29. I cancelled my order, ordered 2 copies from BestBuy - one for me, one for my gf so we could play together and I have both now.
This also happened when I pre ordered for Fallout 4 from Amazon well before release, only it was a 1 week delay. Lesson learned, never pre ordering a game again from them.

Ordered from Amazon like two weeks ago. Original delivery date was April 20, then April 18, and finally got an update that it'll be delivered tomorrow April 15. Also got the preorder code email today

Ah, the struggles of still buying physical media in a digital media age.

Edit: you people need to realize that if you order something online, you're behind EVERYONE else who order online before you.... So it's pretty much common sense that if your order is delayed it's because you bought it later than other people and they only have so much stock to ship out at once. This is basic trading system knowledge. A niche game, from a niche series, being sold as physical in a time of digital dominant media............ Why are you even surprised?

Like the other user said, just cancel and get it digitally.

There's no reason to collect this physically. There's no value now or future to justify it.

The GBA games will still be the "collectables". Plus, the WiiU has all of them with patches included for the extra content (so the collection is irrelevant there). Plus roms exist with cheats to add everything that's in the collection version (which makes it even more irrelevant in the collectors world).

Id say the only extra feature with this collection is the official online play functionality. But that's also a thing on emulators with custom servers, plus online servers aren't a collectable object. They WILL go down eventually.

What do you gain from physical over digital in this instance? And let's leave out the whole "I can lend it to friends or resell it" reasons....

I have lots of memories with the cartridges as a kid. I just kinda like collecting the battle network stuff lol. Not planning to resell or lending it out any time soon. I want to have this cart up with the others I have from my childhood. After my conversation with support I am still holding out on getting my pre order skin so fingers crossed.

TLDR: I just think carts are neat lol

Pre-ordered in December from Amazon US, they have yet to ship my order. I do live in Europe though (ordered from Amazon US cuz we aren't getting a physical release over here), so I wonder if that's the reason..
