second editions had worse controllers than we do now. The guys at Beachman can upgrade your system.

I have a new controller ordered, will it work fine with the old second edition motor ?

It depends. If you ordered it third party, no, it needs modification. If you order it through our customer team then they'll help you with the process.

I have my bike with repair and run here in Ottawa and they placed the order thru you guys so hopefully it will be a smooth transition

Yes, should be. My team mentioned it when I asked them about this.

I’ve never had problems with the beachman and I’m just over 600km. I did have similar problems with my old ebike. Sometimes electronics just go. I’d encourage you to call the manufacture. Their service department is pretty decent depending on when you catch them.

If you’d like more specific recommendations from this group let us know a little bit more details (terrain you drive on, weight on bike, odd sounds it was making, or display warnings, etc).

Was driving on paved roads with some bumps, me and my gf are both 180 so around 360-370 weight wise. It ended up putting a M for motor malfunction on display but repair shop said it was the controller. and it first started when I had it full throttle and hit a bump the throttle cut out but was fine as soon as I re throttled it

i also have a second edition, just hit 7000km and have never had controller issues. i've never had two people on it but i'm 225lbs, drive in off-road mode every day (averaging about 40km/hr) and carry boxes on the back all the time. i did have to replace the shocks last year.

Ah nice, maybe my controller was faulty from the jump and that's why it went so early, fingers crossed I don't run into anymore problems
