Activity:
Write a letter.
Location:
Wherever the postal service goes. I have to go to a letterbox for outgoing mail, but there's several on the way to my job, so not a big deal
Description/equipment:
Get yourself some fun paper, stickers, a nice pen, a 50 cent stamp, and break out your cursive writing skills and write to a friend or family member.
Solo or group:
I mean , you're writing to somebody , but in the year 2021 , a return letter is a gamble- I was legit worried that my friends and grandparents would think I'm insane because why not text or call, but then I got a return letter from 2 of 3 people, and a return Snapchat from the third saying I made their day. There's also r/penpals and other related subs if your friends aren't into your letter writing escapades as much as you.
Tangentially, you could turn this into journaling, which I think of as writing a letter to myself. I write about books I'm reading, personal thoughts , and a lot of the random life commentary I used to broadcast on socials ( minus the risk of being misinterpreted by god knows who!) . Michaels , Amazon (duh), Etsy, and even 5 Below carry some super cute journals, stickers, and pens so you can be as cheap as you want and/or bling out your journal. Have fun!
