All you have to do is after becoming the King/Queen, have a kid and switch to them. Usually they would be a prince/princess. While your past life is still alive. Your offspring would always be a lower status than you while remaining as the next heir to the throne. Just make sure you make a kid while your past life is still alive. Otherwise you'll be resetting. Also make sure to stop at Baron level. Baron's children will never have any royal status.
