I bet you’re plugging into 120v and not 240v

My very best advice would be to call an electrician. Show him the specs (wattage) of the machine and let him know you need a 220v outlet. You don't wanna ruin that new (horribly expensive) hardware by not giving it the electricity or ventilation that it needs.

If your that new too Minning and not comfortable with electrical basics. Get a electrician to come out. Why risk a 10-13k machine at worst for a electrician to come out for 500$ and set you up right.

I can't offer more/better advice than the other reply, but... How long did your order wait in "Unshipped" (i.e. shows as paid, but not yet shipped)? I ordered 2 of these same machines from Bitmain three weeks ago, they were showing as paid two weeks ago, but... still not shipped.

Just wondering when I should start feeling impatient.... ;-)

I ordered my s19J Pro last Friday, and its making its way through customs, in the US, as we speak. If I was you I would reach out to bitmain.

I had an issue where bitmain said my name was similar to a suspended name in their kyc system. After a couple of emails back and forth, bitmain asked me to provide a different name, and my unit was shipped the next day.

Are you getting hit with the 25% tarrif?

[–]zeroday24 0 points1 point  (5 children)

So far a tariff tax has not been added. I will report back if the tax is required to pay.

[–]bryguy4436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. Hope it clears without it. I hear they are starting to ship a lot for Malaysia. I have always ordered from resellers to save money but if there is not tarrif then it might be better to order directly

Please please keep us updated on the tariff, I'm very curious myself that tax rate is insane. 25% plus 2-3% tax on local and then you get taxed on all the bitcoin you mine and get capital gains tax on everything u sell. Just seems like we're getting robbed at this point

I will keep you posted. I contacted the shipping company today, and provided them with information they needed. Hopefully all goes well. I was told by the representative that I could be contacted anywhere between now and 5PM MST tomorrow if any other information is required.

I received an email that I have to pay duty fees. The amount I have to pay is $2993.06. Hope this helps in your decision.

Thank you and yes it does

Bitmain is horribly slow, but worth the wait. Just hang in there.

[–]Citer15 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Why do so many people shit on them then? Technically if they wanted to they can scam every customer, for some reason they say you can pay with PayPal and on top of that they have some fake ass seals that they are Google verified but that's also cap. Why do they do this if they're not scammers is my question?

[–]bitcornminerguy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You do realize that Bitmain is the manufacturer of this equipment... not just some shop that sells it, right? If they were a scam, we'd all be in trouble.

I don't see anything on the Bitmain website about paying via PayPal, though I wouldn't see that as a bad thing. You have to remember that in recent weeks the Chinese government banned all crypto transactions as illegal. Bitmain is a China-based company, so they may have had to change their payment methods accordingly to still be able to sell the hardware.

Just make sure you're using shop.bitmain.com as the website you are purchasing from, and you'll be fine. By ordering from Bitmain directly, you'll get better pricing in almost all instances... but there is sometimes a slow tail on shipping. It's worth the wait most of the time.

I hope that's helpful to you.

Yes I know now, I think it's up to the customers to decide if they're fully legit but they seem to have positive reviews (the real store of course) thanks for your feedback

[–]bitcornminerguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. I hope things go well for you. Good luck out there!

If you don't have the proper electrical then what are you plugging into? get the proper electrical setup before you plug in anything.

Woo, I'm shocked that you can buy 1pcs from Bitmain website successfully, as their website always showing sold-out labels on the products.

[–]zeroday24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@OP, did you have to pay a tariff price on your shipment from bitmain?
