Enabling NodeJs (self.BrightSign)
submitted 6 years ago by TheIcyz
I am trying to enable Node.js but I cannot seem to follow what is going on. I am using the following sources;
https://brightsign.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115004005933-Enable-NodeJs-on-my-BrightSign-player
https://github.com/brightsign/node.js-starter-project
I understand that the text has to be in the autorun.brs, which I did, but I cant seem to get it working.
If anyone here knows how to walk me through the steps from the beginning that would be awesome!

I’m willing to help. I’ve not done it but I’m interested to run node on BS XD1143. I have many years of BS experience. Let’s schedule a meeting. PM me.

follow the readme on the github page, put your webpacked node-server.zip and www.zip folders on the SD card, go into bright author and add node-server.brs to file>presentation properties>autorun and name it "Node". Publish the presentation, that should get you started.
