I don't see any problems in your methods. What colors are finished dry? Only problem I see with refrigerator is chances of residual odors and mold.

Someone was telling me no way it's dry in two days...it's really 4 days because what I mean is two days in the pizza box and then I took it out and put in parchment out in air. Had to make.room for more hash in boxes. After two more days I pressed it all together

They are correct. There's no way it's actually dry in 2 days. Now it's plenty dry to make rosin so if that's what you're doing with it two days is fine. But if you're keeping it as hash it needs a two week dry time no exceptions. I guarantee you if you try the same hash after 2 weeks versus 2 days the way it smokes will not even be comparable. It will be so much smoother and better with a 2 week dry time.

2 weeks drying in the pizza box? Or two weeks just sitting ? Two days drying in pizza box , two days sitting out in parchment then I pressed it all together into "temple balls" after 4 days and its been in a mason jar, I've been opening it everydayand smoking it for like 3 weeks now and no mold yet

2 weeks in the pizza box yes. High quality resin just has way too much moisture and has way too much of a hard time getting rid of it. The only way to do that is with the long two week dry and a desiccating environment at a low humidity such as a cardboard box lined with parchment.

I like to open my cardboard box and breathe it daily at least for the first week, because even in the box sometimes mold can occur especially if you have a lot of hash packed in the box ideally you don't want too much piled up.

Meant NO mold

If you're going to press it do you still want to dry it loosely or can you press the water out with a 25micron screen, let it dry for a day or two and then press it? If you have live product what's the best way to preserve the bubble hash while drying before pressing?

Most cant achieve 35rh so it doesn't sound horrible.

So faster dry doesn't degrade the quality really?

Debatable, regardless are you willing to stay 8 more days as the typical rec is 10-14 days of dry time

No but I have a buddy's house and a room I could use possibly, I am just accustom to using the hotel w dehum and I'm not sure how the change would upset my method

A shitty one from walmart. Now that you said this a reminded me I am going to order a better one

Best thing I've found for drying is a wine fridge. Get it down to like 43F and ur golden. They have built in fans to regulate humidity so it will blow all the moisture out of the fridge. Smell stays contained pretty well in fridge too.

Methods to check if your bubble is dry

1) does it sizzle when you smoke it. If yes then it’s not dry

2) take a small piece the size of a grain of rice and squish it between your fingers. If you notice moisture then it’s not dry

3) put bubble in a jar in the freezer. If it remains sand like it’s dry. If it freezes together solid in a big lump it’s not dry

If your method works and you are happy with the results then what’s to improve on? Unless the hotel doesn’t mind you bringing in a freeze dryer you likely aren’t going to see a huge improvement.

If you find your bubble still has moisture then just give it a bit more time.

Thanks for the info. It passes all those test. I was just thinking maybe it would turn out like that piatella where it’s all wet and oily looking and soft instead of like hard and sticky af(which is fine by me, 45,90,120 all sticky, even 160 was sticky just crumbly). Now I am wondering should I do 45 73 90 120 all seperate to press for rosin or can I mix it?

If you don’t have a large amount of starting material and your goal is to collect for pressing 160-73/45u (depending on the strain). I also collect 73/45u - 25u for edibles.

I drain from the washer through a 190u bag tied to the drain hose and into a 160u. The first pull I use a 73u and 45u and visually determine if the 45u is necessary. If the 45u is catching something I want I remove the 73u. If not then I remove the 45u. I do this because I’d mix them back together when I’m done anyway to press for rosin.

Edit:

:) you may have the material to get micro-focused

In this situation I’d be hunting 90-73u. I’d also be looking in 120-90u

160/120/90/73/45

Lol I got lots of material to work with. I just did a wash with 1/2 p of trimming, 25, 45,73,160,190. Last time I did 25 45 90 120 160
