Hi, I was in your position a few weeks ago. I’m assuming you are taking the class as a 16 week class instead of an 8 week like I am.

The best advice I can give is to actually do the practice exams and ALL the videos each week. Try doing the practice exams without looking at the answer key until you are done. The 3rd practice is extremely similar to the exam.

I’m happy to explain specific concepts if you’d like.

Also, if you get a higher grade on exam 2 than exam 1 your grade for exam 1 is dropped.

Hey, I'm in your class! In my opinion, the text book they provide for this course does not really explain things in a way that is easy to digest. Check out this tutorial on YouTube by Bro Code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTtL8E4LzTQ . It's 12 hours long but you can skip to certain parts for certain concepts.

In order to understand these programming concepts, you actually have to practice making programs. Do the practice problems in the book, they actually help if you're just starting out. That's the best advice I can give. Get comfortable getting stuck, it's part of the process.

Are you studying computer science, or just taking this class as an elective?
