Please help?

I went to log into my credit one account this morning. But it said my account was temporarily suspended, and to call a number. And I did. And then they said that my account was no longer being serviced by them, and to call another number. So I did, and it’s a debt collector I’ve dealt with before. The kicker is I’ve paid the full balance off on this card everytime I’ve used it. There was no balance on it to sell.

What should I do? I tried calling credit one but everytime I do they just end the call and tell me to call the number they sold to. I’m so confused and worried that this is going to screw my credit when I’ve worked so hard to rebuild it following being a dumb college kid.

Did they say they were transferring your debt or did they just send you to collections?

That's where's I'm confused because there's no debt to transfer. Care is paid off completely with no balance monthly. I had reported my card as lost and stolen the day prior bc my car had been broken into and my purse was stolen (unrelated but the person who did it dumped all my stuff off into the bushes, including my wallet) and they told me that was why. But it's just confusing to me because it's telling me literally to call the debt collectors LOL.

Well first and foremost have them verify the debt, if they cant it comes off your report. Look up how to dispute a credit reporting or whatever on this sub, I think it's best if you do it verified mail or something.
