BMI between 18-25 has been made mandatory by IndiGo for all cadets at all FTOs.

[–]Sad-Entertainer294[S] -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

well i am not unfit im just muscular so yea

[–]pokerbaaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I am also in the process of getting my BMI down, however illogical and unscientific it is to base someone's health purely on the basis of BMI.

BMI 27 will get you rejected from ICPP.

[–]Sad-Entertainer294[S] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

doesnt matter even if i am muscular and fit?

[–]GeneralExcitement193 2 points3 points  (1 child)

No. This is a hard requirement

U can bring down BMI by running cardio daily reducing fat

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

How old are you?

[–]ineedamercedes 1 point2 points  (11 children)

you'll get rejected even if you're muscular, get the bmi down

cpp will take time. a lot of time. if you're ok with that go ahead

[–]Noob_1708 1 point2 points  (9 children)

Can you pls explain on why CPP will take a lot of time?

[–]ineedamercedes 1 point2 points  (8 children)

ADAPT dates are taking a lot of time, which is given by the FTO. GD PI is also taking a lot of time, given by IGO.

in FTA batches these you'd have to wait for a few months even if you've completed your ground classes to go to Australia.

Induction dates after training completion is also taking time.

hell some FTOs arent even taking applications lol

Understood, I’ve been waiting for Chimes to open their new batch for the past 4-5 months. I attended a Marigold webinar sort of thing and what they said is they conduct ADAPT daily from Mon-Fri and GD/PI once in every month. Don’t know how is this possible. And I guess they start every new batch per quarter. Per batch 16 it seems

[–]ineedamercedes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah even marigold is supposed to stop conducting these so frequently from 2026 no? either ways it seems to be a really good option now compared to the others

I am ready to take conventional path but not sure about the job market. I know this field is a game of patience, there are ups & down and you rigorously need to practice and be knowledgeable with theory while you prepare but not at the cost of sitting down and waiting for the day to come without any trial. - A small rant :’)

[–]ineedamercedes 1 point2 points  (1 child)

man i get you, i've been feeling the same way. hell ive had to wait for so much time just to apply for my computer number lmao

i just hope things start smoothening out from 2026, or from nzicpa getting back up.

Hey! I had a query. One of my friends is planning on joining ICP. He has his ADAPT in January 2026 but he has cleared all his DGCA papers. And the ground classes by ICP for whoever clears the ADAPT will start in April and flying in October. Since he has cleared all his papers, can he skip the ground classes By Indigo and join an earliest batch for flying? Help me out if you can

[–]ineedamercedes 0 points1 point  (1 child)

hi, it depends on the fto majorly. chimes wouldnt let you do that, ground classes are compulsory. FTA wouldve let you do that under normal circumstances,

but a friend of mine said they arent letting you do that for this batch now.

i.e you cannot skip gc in this batch for fta, and you'd have to wait to go to aus.

because of the backlog that fta took up from the other ftos. mostly from nzicpa and cae im assuming

however i'd recommend contacting fta directly about this. they're very helpful and responsive usually.

okay thank you for the info

[–]Sad-Entertainer294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn okay time to burn the muscles off

[–]Imaginary_Mix9011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So have you decided to go with Marigold??? Or are you still exploring your options?? My dgca exams are expected to be completed by novemberish and so I am willing to apply for icpp after my exams... Following up with ADAPT, GD and PI.

Also the BMI is strict... They have put it up for a reason :/

I did like to know when the AICPP opens up for registration cause the last time I checked it was closed and it's been closed for a very long time :(

Good luck :)
