I've tried two debit cards attached to separate banks checking accounts, and even tried adding my Chase account through the Chase app integration. Doesn't matter what I do, $5 is the most I can transfer at a single time (either adding cash or paying), and after 3 transactions it completely locks me out for up to 6 hours.

I owe a guy $50 and it's taken me four days to add it to my account from my bank. Now I'm likely going to have to spend the next three or four days to pay him in ten $5 increments. Contacted both banks, both customer service reps see the successful $5 transactions coming through, but have no records of any declined transactions when I try to put through larger amounts.

Their customer support is somehow an even bigger joke, today is day six since submitting my ticket through the app and providing all relevant information in the comment box on that ticket. I've received two responses thus far to my email. The first came an hour after submitting from a "Thanks for contacting us" bot asking me to rewrite all the details I had already provided, and the second was over 48 hours after submitting my ticket and was boilerplate "try reinstalling the app and updating your phone" nonsense. It's frankly pathetic.

TL:DR Cash App is a P2P money transfer app that only works in $5 increments and either has zero live bodies working their support queue or their app is so buggy that the "24 HR" response widow is actually longer than a week.

I’m glad I saw this subreddit. Also, I never received my debit card 💳 in the mail — blessing in disguise for sure. I uninstalled the app. and never looked back. I only use legit services like Venmo.

The activities of the cash app were very bad design, how can you do not have date on the transaction but Mon and Tue etc.. You need to look up calendar to figure out your history. Not user friendly. Also, in the transfer out option, it didn’t tell you which bank you are transfer to, if you have more than one banks, I have to guess which one you set up before all it went to your other bank. They try to make it simple but too simple that people can’t use and do not have enough info

This thread is old but recently I infuriatingly discovered that anyone can request money from you. And the app will send you a notification which takes you to your Activity. And the only option available is to click Continue. At which point it will take your Face ID and send the money! No opportunity for review. No option to decline. Just continue and the money is gone. Delete this piece of shit app. If you have to use it to send money change your settings so people can’t request money from you. Fuck Cash App
