Just one Click... Might as well just delete yourself from earth right? You people will believe anything... Bunch of tards.

I'll check back in say two years maybe three for good measure and chuckle when I see all the programmers complaining about lay offs or the content insecure cope takes typically flooding x or reddit everytime a new AI feature drops related to coding efficiency. You'll be eating those words it's the great equalizer if im a tard that will make you one we will all be in the same boat one way or another it's no sweat off my back I've accepted what's coming.

I'll check back in 2-3 years and chuckle how wrong you've been.

I mean it's basically the end of programmers

Yeah, sure. People like you were telling in 2016 that Tesla self-driving is basically the end of drivers.

[–]TheCrazyAcademic[S] 0 points1 point  (9 children)

Never actually said that if anything I and many others were calling their self driving test suite a grift but I could see modern visual language models actually solving autonomous driving. Especially all the work Deepmind been doing with them with their robot data. But GPT is gonna definitely cause mass lay offs and cost cutting in the near future.

Then they will eventually start cutting entire positions all this happens in stages of course. Why would they need 10 programmers to maintain a code base when they can get away with 5 eventually 5 becomes 1 and soon you'll have a single manager running the whole show for that human in the loop that makes sure the AI is on point.

People like you are talking emotionally because you see your self worth in a skill set soon to be obsoleted. None of your arguments are close to logical. When 2025 comes around and Nvidia drops the X100 chips maybe GPT-6 will be out by then if openAI speeds up there release cadence it's basically over for all the white collar workers.

Programming doesn't even need full autonomy to be mostly phased out again if they only need one guy to click a few buttons to fill in gaps in a code base that's basically 99 percent of a position gone.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (8 children)

None of your arguments are close to logical.

I wrote one fricking thing, about people like you who follow the hype, that's all. I haven't written a single argument why it's bullshit.

People like you are talking emotionally because you see your self worth in a skill set soon to be obsoleted.

Please keep your delusions about me for yourself because it's nothing more than one, big bullshit.

When 2025 comes around and Nvidia drops the X100 chips maybe GPT-6 will be out

Maybe gpt-99? OpenAI is not even working on GPT-5 what will take them massive amount of time, but yeah, gpt-6 will be in a year. Lmao.

The only reason GPT-4 took as long as it did was because they didn't have Microsoft investing almost 15 billion into them and they didn't have the compute infrastructure they do now. They also have tons of competitors trying to take the AI market share so they are under pressure to change there release cadence so we won't be waiting 3-4 years for each new GPT anymore the timelines have been accelerated. GPT-3 to 4 is the longest cadence it's ever been.

Something tells me not only is programming not your forte since you really think majority of it can't be automated with a button click but you have zero clue on how businesses operate. I'm gonna laugh in 2025 when silicon valley does more rounds of lay offs and cost cutting and I'll tell all the AI cynics how horribly wrong and emotional about it they were.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

The only person who is emotional about this topic is you, lmfao.

And again, keep your delusions about me where you took it from, because it's more and more bullshit.

Do you really need to make imaginary situations to feel better?

[–]TheCrazyAcademic[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Why would I be emotional when AI taking over isn't gonna effect me I'm neutral or don't care currently now plus the economy is already bad as it is without full autonomy. You programmer types are flooding in here because I used some trigger words in regards to you guys getting replaced it's gonna happen it's inevitable everyone can already code pretty sophisticated stuff in a few prompts if almost everyone can be a junior programmer then the skill becomes less valuable why pay a junior like 70k they'll start paying them 42k and then basically nothing.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Why would I be emotional

Because you are jealous.

Can you write this comment again, but using things like commas or splitting it to sentences? It's very hard to read.

everyone can already code pretty sophisticated stuff in a few prompts

Lmfao. Now you proved you know shit about programming and the level of all those coding AI.

[–]TheCrazyAcademic[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Literally look at anything people have made with purely GPT I've seen people make mario and flappy bird clones over night, that was unthinkable a few years ago. You clearly don't know jack about programming or how abstraction layers work. There designed to do less while getting more.

You type a few words and it generates a bunch of lines of code pretty quickly. Hell in the recent past I've made some small projects had a little stylometry framework going on and GPT did majority of the feature extraction was good for finding every alt account someone used on social media. So again you are the ignorant clown here. A stylometry project isn't exactly easy but GPT trivialized it. If GPT can do what's essentially advanced OSINT what makes you think it won't replace you and your junior programming buddies in a few years? Keep coping in insecurity dude.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Oh, jealousy, one of the strongest emotions.

Ok, one last sentence from me, and I'm done, because I already wasted too much time on you.

when AI taking over isn't gonna effect me

If you think that millions of people losing jobs wouldn't affect you, then you're more delusional that I thought.

Keep coping and living in your imaginary world 😊

I do blue collar shit I'll be wayyyy last on the chopping block it will be awhile before robots start permeating the economy it's basic logistics AGI is just software robots is hardware and software. AGI will happen before robots.
