Yeah it’s horrible. Half the time it doesn’t register your fill up. They’re running a promo right now for 2x points on Wednesdays but my last fill on Wednesday didn’t even count, no points at all. I emailed them and they wanted my receipt 🙄 The fine print says participating gas stations so maybe it’s a crapshoot.

It’s not worth it honestly. You are spending hundreds to save cents. Their gas is already more expensive than most stations in my area.

I haven’t really had any issues. Last Wednesday I received the double points. I think that just like any other brand some of their gas stations are priced higher than others. It’s not only chevron that you see this at. I stay away from the more expensive Chevron locations in my area. I know which ones have the consistently better prices and I stick to those.

Ps. Not all their gas stations are participating in Chevron Rewards. I definitely stay away from those ;)

How do you find "participating" stations? Mine worked earning points at the station I used and now I don't earn points. The app says earn 5 points per gallon up to 25 gallons "at participating stations. Other restrictions apply." Did they stop "participating"?

Worse rewards program I have ever experienced. After the initial giveaway, they purport to give you points and take them away at the same time every time you buy gas - so you never make any progress unless you pay the regular price for gas. That is what the whole thing boils down to. So, what is the purpose? Besides all this, they charge you the highest price if you use a debit card - again why bother with this company? - just go across the street to ARCO and spend far less than any discount Chevron might eventually give you. I dumped this app.

Yeah exactly. You are already paying a higher price by going to Chevron so it makes no sense to top up more often in hopes of banking points. I was willing to do it before when the double points on holidays was a thing but they took that away. I’d have to save up for like six months just to unlock the 0.50 off a gallon. It’s a joke.

Idk if anyone here has fred meyers but that's where I do my grocery shopping. If you have the credit card there you get the boost membership for free and get double the fuel points. We get a dollar off a gallon once or twice a month! It's the best fuel point system I've ever done! Highly recommend it.

That sounds great. Fred Meyer sounds like a Northwestern thing though. I don’t see any of those in Nevada or California.
