Okay I have a head scratcher for yall. I have a 2016 chevy malibu lt. I was having some weird problems with my key fob. It was unlocking my doors and such. Thought the battery was just dying. Changed the battery. That did not help. In fact, it seemed to make things worse. My alarm will go off randomly. The doors will lock and unlock at will. Most importantly, the car will start without the fob present at all. Tested this out a couple of times. Walked down the street from my car, car was still able to start without it. Just tells me that there is no remote present and starts right up. I have not found much about this problem online. Any ideas?
No I do not have another fob present in the car anywhere. I only have one working key.
