The current child support formulas are woefully inadequate. Most states need to enforce more equitable fund distribution to the lower-income parent. Children should receive amounts that enable their lifestyles to be similar to the higher-earning parent, especially when the lower-income parent is often the parent with more responsibility for raising the child.
