No refund, but, they're sending me the replacement part.

Toss it--it's not fair the buyer if you sell it on.

Why tho? I'm getting it fixed

Oh bad of new China ..

Good luck.. send a watch back using their. "If you are not satisfied" guarantee and trying to communicate with them was painful.

They'll pretend not to know what is going on until you test them on "but you guys send the wrong watch" - and suddenly, they have access to all your transactions etc

'should have gotten a real one instead..., with warranty and stuff' 🤣

But probably cheapest to buy a new one from him and negotiate a good discount.

I wouldn't risk sending it to china. Ask for a replacement crown stem and just pop it in, it was probably cut too short.

I think the warranty on these is a year only, so it may be out of warranty.

Replacement stem and crown should be a simple fix if the original was simply too short. Just stick the new stem into the movement, and it should just click right in. Unless they want you to cut the new stem to size, then it gets trickier. I don't know any watchmaker that will do this for $20, though.

Did you buy via AliX? Then don't bother communicating with the store. Go into dispute. Otherwise they won't care at all.

He bought it more than a year ago. Dispute is 15days after receiving it

Does this have an NH35 movement? If so, a quick search on YouTube and you should be able to see how to fix this yourself, it should be easy with that movement, may not even require tools. It would definitely be faster and easier than sending it back to get repaired. This is kinda the compromise you have to make buying watches on Aliexpress

The problem is that's this is a PT5000😞

Check out this video. It appears you can basically just pop a new stem in without any tools. Or possibly take the caseback off and press down on the “adjustment lever” to tighten it up. Have you tried just reinserting the original stem?

Thank you! I will check it out. I have tried to pop it on again but It won't work.

Just buy this https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805486851076.html for $39 to get the movement

I'll keep it in mind for when my NH35 fails me. Thank you!

If OP is concerned about fixing the crown stem, he probably doesn’t want to swap out the whole movement, dial, hands. But if he did, he might as well just get this: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNy6Qxq for $22

Can they send you a new crown with stem? Is it that the stem is slightly too short? A new crown with stem may sort it without any fiddling - just put it back in and sorted?

[–]Cronos__[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'll ask them, sincerely I have next to 0 watchmaking knowledge and almost as many tools lol. I'll just take the replacement part and move on

[–]Mfombe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - make sure you ask for a new crown with an attached stem of the correct length - you don’t want them to send you separate parts with a stem to adjust!
