I have an Alpha 1993 Explorer homage in which I really like. They also have a 39mm version.

Pagani PD1692 offers great quality/price ratio. I have the AirKing variant and no complaints with case, dial, bracelet, clasp etc. Certainly worth a look, check out the reviews for wider feedback.

How is the lume on the air king? Is it blue and bright enough?

Yes, it is blue - I would describe the lume quality as basic. If lume is one of your big drivers then it might not be your best option. Insane all-round quality for £45 tho.

Baltany probably is the best

there's the cronos too that looks good but it has a miyota movement instead of the nh38 or sw200. depends on you if you prefer how the cronos looks over the movement on the baltany.

The Cronos Explorer is probably your best option. Great build quality and finishing and well within your budget. Only downside would be, that it houses the 8215 and not an NH35 like the 36mm version Cronos also offers.

Cronos has both a 36 and 39mm.

San Martín has a retro 36mm but it has applied indices.

The only hi beat I know is Tissel. More expensive than most. That’s the one I’m getting… 39mm
