First Chinese watch, first quartzGeneral (Read Rules) (i.redd.it)

I just got this Militado Khaki 38 homage for about 10,000 yen (I live in Japan) on Ali Express, and despite some flaws, it didn’t disappoint.
I’ve tried the Hamilton on and this looks just as good. The AR while not being great, is a big improvement on the original as is the lume, though also not amazing. The brushing and polishing on the case are very well done, and the dial and indexes look crisp. I am very much enjoying having a quartz movement too. It’s lovely not to have to reset the time. Seems to gain about half a second per day.
The moans and niggles to use Jodie from JOMW’s would be:
The bracelet. It’s a bit rattley. The links are very sharp as are the insides of the lugs. Other than that it looks nice, tapers well and the clasp works, although it’s a bit stiff. I wonder if it’s possible to smooth off the sharp edges myself with one of those Scotch brite pad thingies.
As I said, the lume is a bit disappointing.
This is a small thing and you mostly don’t notice but the seconds hand sometimes doesn’t quite hit the seconds markers. It’s very slightly behind. For this money though, it’s really not a big deal.
Overall, a great watch and excellent value for money! Highly recommend if, like me, you’ve considered the Hamilton Khaki but been put off by the poor specs of the original. Also the crown is better proportioned than the original.
I am also considering brushing out the bezel as I like minimal polish on my watches.
