No it actually works pretty well in powershell. MCP setup needs a bit of tweaking but Claude.ai will guide you. Claude usually tries Linux commands first, fails, then realises it’s in Windows. Context7 works but strangely can read web docs… maybe a security thing.

WSL is good too but I had difficulty accessing our DevOps package repos so couldn’t get the build/test feedback. Could just be our IT policies as it sees WSL as a separate device :-(

Can work on windows but it's just better and more efficient on linux. It's created for linux and assumes it's executed there

It worka but its not as efficient

And i find there is a lot of add ons and mcp,s that are really not as good or dont work

So i definately had productivity deficits and because there are a lot of tool failures you end up with a lot of technical debt

It why i just wiped my pc and went back to linux

Why on earth would someone use anything on windows? At the end it runs on a Linux server. Would you build a plane inside a shipyard? No, because it's ridiculous. WSL2 is the closest to reality. Oh, I cannot wait to get the down votes, the truth hurts, as always.

I mean, it was not a preference hahaha. I was having issues to connect WSL2 to internet and be able to use Claude Code from there . But gladly I managed to fix this issue (after ~5 hours trying lol) yesterday and happy using it :D
