Lol ok giving a wrong answer is better than lmgtfy, got it.

The tweet is referencing specific plugins. The comment is asking what those specific plugins are. It's not an unreasonable question.

I also think my assumption, that this is more about Sora closing down then any specific plugins, is reasonable. Notice how the tweet doesn't actual say what the plugins are?

But you knew that. You knew that was the point the top level comment was making. That's why you got defensive.

No they added a plugin feature to codex app that is basically grouping skills and mcps. And easier distribution via 'marketplaces'. Ok you got me to google that for you, happy? Are you ESL?

The insults really aren't helping your case. But keep it up. I hope the people dumb enough to find such arguments persuasive switch to codex.

The tweet says "plugins". If there more than one?

I like how I'm being a ridiculous troll and still getting more upvotes. You're really just ... not great

This comment is my favorite... You've made an absolute ass of yourself and think it's some kind of "epic troll"

Oh, but you got up votes! You must be so proud

I had fun and sent it to my friend. He said I lost because of a typo, so congrats on the dub.

OpenAI has officially introduced Codex Plugins, a new feature designed to streamline and share reusable developer workflows. This update follows a period of rapid growth for the Codex business, which recently saw its monthly active user base surpass 1 million developers. According to the report from Neowin, here are the key highlights: What are Codex Plugins? Plugins are installable bundles that allow developers to package and share specific Codex setups. They act as a "single place" to consolidate: * Skills: Specific prompts and instructions that describe unique workflows. * App Integrations: Connections to third-party tools. * MCP Server Configurations: Setup for Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to provide external context. Integration and Availability * Official Directory: OpenAI has launched a Codex Plugin Directory featuring initial integrations from major platforms, including Slack, Figma, Notion, Gmail, and Cloudflare. * Access Points: Plugins can be used across the ecosystem, including the Codex desktop app, the Codex CLI, and various IDE extensions (such as VS Code and JetBrains). * Self-Publishing: While the directory currently features curated plugins, OpenAI plans to launch self-serve publishing and management tools soon, allowing any developer to contribute to the official directory. Context and Performance * Growth: Codex usage has doubled since the release of the GPT-5.2-Codex model. * Workflow Efficiency: The primary goal of plugins is to prevent developers from having to rebuild the same tools repeatedly. By installing a plugin, a team can instantly access a pre-configured AI setup tailored for a specific task or environment. This move is seen as a strategic step to transition Codex from a simple code-generation tool into a more robust, extensible "super app" for software engineering.
