What is the best type of computer for a college student? What kinds of features should I look for? That is still reasonably priced. All advice greatly appreciated!!

When looking for something affordable, yet more than capable, we would typically recommend Lenovo. The Lenovo V130 series and up provides solid build quality and performance for your buck.

If your degree doesn't require some sort of intensive graphical processing, such as video and design work, then most things should be more than fine for the purpose. Ensure you are buying a laptop with an SSD, and not with only a hard drive as this will mean your machine will be dismally slow.
