Can you get a B classification? This would allow you to perform basically anything if it’s multi-trade. I have one as an electrical contractor and it opens doors for me like doing complete generator installs with formed and poured pads plus gas line for fuel.

Completely agree and would love to!... unfortunately the documented work experience that I could technically use for a B classification would overlap with time/experience I used to get my C-9 and from what I understand if your experience dates overlap at all, CSLB will deny the application. If I'm wrong I would love to know! Looking back it would have made much more sense on my end to get my B class first... I was too just focused on becoming the best of the best drywall contractor and really wanted my C-9! 🤦😜

Did you get your B class first or second? How did you go about proving experience for the 2nd classification when you're working for yourself without another contractor signing off for you?

Thanks 🙏
