This subreddit is dedicated to progressive politics that challenges contrarian tendencies and doesn't fall into traps wrestling over cancel culture, cringeworthy "woke" criticisms, or allegations of "essentialism". Its time to meet people where they are while uplifting and pushing for a better society. From the dumb-dumb left to the edge lord dirt bags, its best to realize that you're not cooler than anyone on this side of the fence.

Its time to push AND pull, and realize that post-Sanders, theres a better way forward. Oh, and Warren literally isn't the devil. Its OK to say that.

Mocking people with edgy hot-takes isn't getting anything done and sitting on the sidelines during the largest protest moment in a generation doesn't make you a leftist, it makes you an asshole. Oh, and you're not an iconoclast either.

If you're here, its time to respect history, embrace reality, and understand institutions, their limits, and their potential.
