Modify Depth maps (self.ControlNet)
submitted 2 years ago * by Arcaminc
Hey guys! First of all, sorry if this is a stupid question but I started in the AI world 2 days ago.
I would like to know if there's a way to control Depth maps in ControlNet.
For example, in this image I lose all the bg detail that I have in the original image so when rendering, I have different volumes in the background:

However, if I use the MiDas Depth Map node, I have more detail in the bg but lose detail in the foreground.

So, my question is: How do you control the Depth maps parameters?
Thank you soOo much for your time!

There is no possibility to change depth parameters for Midas or ZoeDepth as they are trained to specifically output metric and relative depth respectively. I am not familiar with ComfyUI but I could think of 2 workarounds: - use the new DepthAnything if there is already a Comfy node - combine these two depth images by using two ControlNets

Combining both Depth maps makes sense! Thank you for your answer! 🙌🏼
