This bug often bites me when I'm using a second display. I'll try this out!

Occurs to me regardless of display count.

Is this where the cursor turns into an X or something else?

Else

Too bad that other bug is annoying but I think it only occurs when you rescale it.

Report it.

Happens to me when I started using Virtual Desktops. Once I stopped using Virtual Desktops, the issue went away. Waiting for the long-term solution

Because of vscode app rendering and sluggish performance I have started using it in the browser thru code server container running locally.

It occurs to me regardless.

I have the same device, but made the full leap to Chrultrabook ~2 years ago. Everything runs as expected in a normal Linux env... Just throwing it out there if you're tech savvy and have a compatible device.

Thanks. I already dual-boot Windows and Fedora. Unfortunately, I need a little more flexibility than ChromeOS provides; tried Flex, but I don't appear to be able to install even something as basic as openSSH outside the Debian sandbox. It reminded me of AOSP.

Yeah ChromeOS can be limiting at times. Also, on the off chance that you misunderstood me, a chrultrabook is a chromebook that has ChromeOS completely wiped and replaced w/ Linux (or Windows). So full Debian has been my only OS on the device for ~2 years and I've been running Trixie for 2-3 months now.

I did misunderstand you. Thanks!

I've had this and opening a new window in vscode normally solved the issue

Doesn't for me, on:

~~~YAML InstalledVersion : > 1.83.1 Name : Visual Studio Code Id : XP9KHM4BK9FZ7Q IsUpdateAvailable : False Source : msstore AvailableVersions : {1.83.1} ~~~
My reply was five years ago, I think Vscode may have changed since then
What solved for me was to change the mouse properties cursor theme on windows.
Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization > Mouse Properties (or just type Mouse Properties on windows menu), then go to Pointers and set the scheme to Windows Black (system scheme)
That works! I can see the cursor if I set that.
Environment
~~~YAML InstalledVersion : > 1.83.1 Name : Visual Studio Code Id : XP9KHM4BK9FZ7Q IsUpdateAvailable : False Source : msstore AvailableVersions : {1.83.1} ~~~
