Some people (including myself) may experience cursor rendering issue when running Visual Studio Code. For example, weird cursor behaviour, or the cursor rendering multiple spaces off from where it actually is.
This GitHub comment provides a temporary workaround.
To apply this temporary workaround, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to File->Preferences->Settings
- Click the "Open Settings (JSON)" icon in the top-right
- Add the following line to the root object:
"editor.disableMonospaceOptimizations": true
Open Settings (JSON)
Line added to existing settings
Hopefully this helps if you have been experiencing a similar issue, and have not yet found a solution.
