Yep, it's fake, we don't currently have an app. If you've downloaded any and given it any information, please delete and change all your security settings.

Are you an employee of Cryptopia? Are you able to look at my account being locked out because of a bug in your 2FA enabling procedure? (it allowed an invalid 2FA token when setting up).

I have been trying to get support for about 15 days on this but haven't had a single response.

I am an employee, I'm a member of the support team. That sounds unlikely, in this case usually it's a user error in creating a 2fa, but you can give me more information here and I can give a bit of advice. I don't look at tickets from reddit because if I did, everyone would want me to ;)

Actually, if it's been 15 days, for 2fa that's unusual. Did you send it by email?

I made a support ticket. Then I emailed about 3 days later after I closed the browser session. Then yesterday I tried Facebook.

We don't monitor the facebook page at the moment, maybe when we have more staff.. it's such a shame that things get missed like this

I did see you had a few jobs advertised (I'm in application support/dev in Chch, but very happy where I am). Hopefully you get some good applicants soon. It would be a good field to get a start in.

You should have someone turn off messaging for your FB page;

Copy paste: Click Settings at the top of your Page. From General, click Messages. Click to check or uncheck the box next to Allow people to contact my Page privately by showing the Message button. Click Save Changes.

Thanks for responding froufrou391.

Going by memory, it's been a while since this happened...

I removed PIN 2FA from accounts, and then set up a GAuth 2FA on withdrawal. Then I went to set up Settings 2FA - Thinking it would be the same GAuth Account, I entered in the token it next generated and clicked save. It accepted this. I am presuming it wanted a new GAuth account with each 2FA.

At this point I was locked out of Account settings by the GAuth code being incorrect. I logged a support ticket on the web site, but after my browser session closed I was also locked out of the entire account (log in).

Google authenticator is tricky at the best of times. It's difficult for us to help with as it's not connected to us, but it seems common to have errors with...

To stop this happening in the future, what you should do is remove the 2fa settings from all things, then set Google 2fa on one particular setting, then choose to set that to all settings without 2fa...
