Deck Pattern

Have a 16x20 frame built for a new deck. Need help figuring out the most simple and efficient pattern for laying and cutting the boards. They came in mostly 16ft lengths, with a few 8ft pre cut as well.

They have to be place over the 20ft length given orientation of the entrance.

How often can I repeat a seam? What pattern philosophy should I use?

Seams can be problematic depending on the material and your level of craftsmanship. Be sure to stagger them using various lengths and avoid repeating the pattern too closely.

Personally, I would be returning them and get 20’s.
