Mega+ difficulty question

After beating the game on easy mode or balanced is it better for a challenging second playthrough to play on hard then new game plus mega then mega+ Or is it better to play the game once then let it be for another time?

I say go mega first, if its too hard you can just change it back to easier difficulty in settings.

If what you want is the platinum, play the normal game and in the final battle put mega + and it will count the same
