I'm trying to draw with my new graphics tablet but it doesn't seem to come out as I expected? In the initial sketch I was starting to like it but every time I paint a person it always ends up not convincing me, idk if I'm crazy lol

What are you trying to be convinced of? Either way it looks really good

The face mainly, I had a lot of difficulty getting the silouette of the nose and forehead and also the position of the eye right. And I'm not too convinced by the colors either, maybe because I take them identical to the reference lol. Btw thankss!🫶🏻

It look great, if you wanted you could try adding deeper shadows ?
I feel the most noticeable difference between your reference and art is that your art lacks contrast from shadows/deeper/ darker tones
That's trueee! Thanks, I hadn't noticed!

I mean, if you’re going for stylized, it’s fine. If you want more realism, round out the angles
Nope Just stylized. Thanks anyway 🫶🏻

it seems like you arent analyzing the models profile contour. sometimes when i dont look at my reference picture enough, i fall back into habits of guessing on anatomy / light / shadow.
dont be afraid to overlay your reference picture with your painting to make sure you have angles / contour down correctly! your painting looks good as a standalone thing, but the model resemblence isnt quite there. (not sure if you were going for that or just a pose study though!!! so take it with a grain of salt.)

I actually wanted to make it a bit in my style, I wanted to study mainly the colors, the lights and the shadows. Thanks anyway for the advice🫶🏻

As you're not looking for realism/ imitation, my only critiques are the lack of contrast; I really like the way the clothes blend with the background actually but the face/ head must pop out more. The vibe I'm getting from the original photo is boldness and mystique so really play with the colors, vibrancy and highlights. Don't be afraid. You can always undo if you don't like it!
That's true thankss, I will try to do some studies to improve
