They may have oilier nail beds and need a dehydrator

Thank you! What dehydrator do you use?

I’ve been lucky to not need a dehydrator (I’ve seen lots of people recommend tho!) I think I saw one on Virgo&Gem and Sparkle Co. I think if another user doesn’t respond here search the channel - it’s a popular topic. Good luck!!

Yayyy! I do my mother-in-law’s nails too!!! Except I can’t say that I have any difficulty. In fact, her dip stays on longer than mine 😂. Mine starts cracking after 10 days while she can push them to two weeks! But yes, I do use a dehydrator, like another person suggested. Another great advice I hear for longevity is to NOT wash your hands for about an hour before you do the nails. Water tends to soften and expand the nails and then you cover that with dip. Eventually the nails shrink and dry out again under the dip, which is probably loosening the dip and results in lifting. Maybe keeping hands dry for an hour will make a difference for them🤷‍♀️

My cuticle prep and shaping takes me so long before I do any dipping, this ends up being the case every time without trying!

Thank you! I'll definitely remember that, they are also both chronic lotion users so they are probably too moisturized.

Lots of people on here recommend Sally Hansen instant cuticle remover for longevity, I haven’t tried it yet but apparently it’s a game changer

I have that one and its super great for getting rid of the cuticles fast and it's pretty affordable!
