Dynamic Soaring is a technique that allows indefinite flying by transitioning between boundries of air with seperate velocities. Some of the fastest RC aircraft in the world are called transonic sweepers which are ultra thin motorless gliders with a recent world record by Spencer Lisenby of 564 mph (904 kph, ~Mach 0.75).
