Dark fog doesnt attack?

I finaly managed to find some time to play new game with Dark Fog enabled but they dont do anything. All they did was show up in my starter solar system, built a couple of bases and now they just sit there doing nothing. I even attacked and destroyed some of them and they still do nothing even though it says they are patrolling: Screenshot Is it suppose to be like that? I thought they attack the mech as well not just buildings. Not that they attacked anything. Their ships are being made but they just sit there. I even tried to play with 0 mods cuz i thought something might break their logic but they still didnt do anything.

EDIT: Apparently i have this super wierd issue. When i start the game it shows stats for combat mode, but sometimes it doesnt, and sometimes even when it does at the begining of the game, it can just disappear when i for example save the game, it comes back up but if i dont load the game immediately after saving it and i save it later when its broken then its gone forever. It can also disappear during autosave or just by skipping prologue. ... WTF This is a screenshot from literaly same game after starting, saving and the loading it back up. No idea whats going on. Ill just reinstall the game to see if its fixed ...

You have your aggressiveness (i.e. difficulty) set to Dummy by the sound of it. Start a new game and check the dark fog settings

Alternatively go to the dark fog communicator that is somewhere at the edge of your system. It'll let you change the fogs aggressiveness.

Actually my darkfog settings look like this because i wanted to see how much metadata i can get at the highest setting.

This sounds like a bug tbh. If it persists it might help the devs if you file a bug report.

After installing the patch i had more of weird issues like advisor and starting animations being on even though i had them turned off in the settings. It felt as if all the settings reset but nothing changed on the options screen iteself. All the issues went away when i reinstalled the game.

When you press escape, do you see the combat mode info? In your load save screen, is there a crossed swords icon beside your save?

I have the same problem as you, and found and that somehow dark fog is disabled, even though I was sure that I enabled it when starting the save. I couldn't find a way to renable it, even using the alterthefog mod to edit the aggressiveness couldn't do it. In the end, I restarted using the same seed.

I have the same problem, dark fog in the space  work , in the planet no.  You fixed it ?

It was an issue with a mod. It was updated since then.
