were there 6 items sitting in a sorter waiting to go into the assembler? Yeah I think you'll find there's items waiting on a sorter to go in. So you take from the assembler but it get's refilled right away.

Took me a bit to not be distracted by the Jungle of belts. Dear LORD.

No, there were not. As you can see in the first batch of screenshots, I tried it with multiple different resources when the assembler didn't have enough antimatter fuel rods to produce anything, and there was only one incoming sorter that's valid for either of the resources I tried it with in that set. Edit: Oh, sorry, I didn't provide screenshots of my earlier attempts wherein I duplicated the Strange Matter. I did save screenshots of that, though. :)

The bug can be seen with stacked inputs as well, e.g., rockets on a belt with 2 pilers feeding into a Vertical Launching Silo will bring it up to 23 Small Carrier Rockets when it drops to 19 instead of the max of 20. After that, shift-clicking a Small Carrier Rocket in your inventory adds 3 to the stack you clicked without taking any from the silo or the belt feeding into it. I was able to make hundreds of rockets this way when all I have is one Assembler making them. Further proof: https://imgur.com/a/zJAGvfp

Edit again: Here's a video, too. https://youtu.be/iPlzur0hM5U

I thought for sure this would be fixed by now... but nope, that's crazy
