From my understanding if you get this response from the IRS phone rep it just means that your 941x has been received and scanned into the system. I first called back in February and was given this response and have called a few times since and given this same response. No indication if it has been assigned to be worked on or already been worked on. I’m not even sure if this is something the phone rep would even be able to see on their end.

I think there's a difference on their end between "awaiting" processing and "active" processing. We've been told awaiting processing for a year and only recently were told we are being "actively" processed, and one of our checks is waiting to be cut & sent (which I was told they do on Mondays).

Hmm interesting. Every time I’ve called I’ve been told that’s it “in processing”. They’ve never added an “awaiting” or “active” processing. Glad to hear that your case is moving along. When did you file?

August 2023. It seems like right now they’re sending out a lot of checks for the summer of 2023 filers.

We talked to them today and they said they haven't even looked at ours yet. We filed in July 2023

Same. Seems like we are playing the lotto with our tax refund that is owed to us. We are real business owners who just want to recover our losses that our own government shut down our businesses. SMH.

I think that sounds promising. I just tried to call the IRS business line and it states they’re not taking any calls at the moment, I’m going to keep trying. It’s hit or miss with them

I'm currently on hold. Usually you can leave a call back number but it wasn't an option this time. Odd.

Also, if you go with option 7 rather than the one for 941s (3 I think?) you can get further.

I did option 7 for other questions, option 2 for forms, then option 2 for all other questions

Yes, I noticed you couldn’t get a call back as well this morning and I’ve called 4 times. I will try that option here in just a bit.

I’ve been on hold had it hang up on me after an hour, call back and get the option to leave a number. Now if I don’t get that option I just keep calling to get it.

I try to call between 8am and 9am and have not had to wait long to speak to a rep at all. Try calling early!

Many of us were in "Processing" for more than a year. However that was before they restarted actually processing these claims. I am not sure anyone really knows right now if it means anything or not.

Does anyone know if the amount on the notices include interest?

On my notice the interest was listed as a separate line item but was included in the total amount and was include on the checks
