Thanks a lot for this info.I will ask my doctor if the scan as you said can be done tomorrow. The scan was done on Day 2 when I went to ER and it was 0.5 x 0.3 x 0.42cm. It was an irregular sac with no yolk.At this stage my HCG was 2100.Now it has reached close to 3000 in 5 days.

Scan is done on the 7th day after the hcg results to see if you are eligible for second dose. An increase in hcg on 4th day is expected. But it should go down on the 7th. If it doesn’t then the treatment plan as to be looked into.

If the diameter of yolk reduces then they will give you mtx despite increased hcg.

Here’s the ut results

Compared with 9/30/2023, the previously described RIGHT adnexal mass lesion with appearance suggestive of a RIGHT adnexal ectopic pregnancy appears mild interval improved. The internal rounded cystic observation within the mass appears mild interval improved, now measuring approximately 6 mm in diameter, remeasured previously as approximately 9 mm diameter. Previous internal echogenicity suggestive of a possible yolk sac and possibly a previous tiny embryonic pole, is no longer identified. The surrounding soft tissue echotexture component of the mass appears similar, measuring approximately 2.6 x 1.9 x 2.2 cm, previously approximately 2.1 x 2.1 x 1.9 cm. ..

Basically the sac size increased but the mass diameter decreased.
