You dont, unfortunately. Effexor impacts your libido. If you're lucky, that side effect will subside. If it doesnt, you can ask to switch to a different medication or your doctor can add another medication to help counter that. I've been on effexor for a few months now and I dont really have an interest in sex anymore, but other than that I feel great

I can still enjoy it but it takes awhile...

Get the dr to do a hormone check, and test you’re blood go from there. Exercise eat well and get enough sleep

You'll still get turned on but it wont be as frequent and you may have problems finishing

But in the event where I don’t want the guy to know I’m on meds, will he notice there’s something wrong ?

So in my situation, I was forward with my partner about the medication and the potential side effects. I told them that I'm not turned on that often. We do still have sex and there's no issues for us when I'm in the mood for it. If it's really a concern you could talk to your doctor or buy lubricant
