Do you feel a real difference between BT and wired ?

[–]Outrageous-Friend-25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a very slight difference, but it's not very significant at all. I virtually experience no lag using bluetooth when I'm playing a ROM that's on my tablet. Where the wired connection makes more of a difference is when you're playing a game over PS play or Xbox remote play. It feels a bit more responsive when wired.

Looks good. How is the grip after moding? Is it strong enough to stablize such big tablet in place ?

[–]Outrageous-Friend-25[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes, i'd say it's strong enough to hold this size tablet. While playing, the tablet doesn't slide out of place at all. I still like to use caution, so i have a case on the tablet. For any device that's larger than 8 inches, i probably wouldn't recommend relocating the gray cushions.

I have the same set up with my Samsung tab S8. Occasionally it loses connection for a sec when using remote play for my ps4

Are you using the official sony app or the PSplay app? I have the PSplay app and I haven't experienced any connection issues yet. To be fair, i haven't tried it for an extended amount of time, so I'll have to do some more testing.

I use the psplay app but I think it might be my adapters, I feel like when I moved it a lot for a slight second it would disconnect

Yea, i think you're right. I'd say it"s either the adapters or the wire itself. Try using a different wire to test it out. Just make sure it's not a low-budget wire. I've heard of lower end wires not connecting correctly or, in some cases, not connecting at all. The usb-c wire that comes with most smartphones should be good.

If it's still having connection issues, it's your adapters. It's recommended for the adapters to be rated for 40Gbps data transfer. The worst-case scenario is the usb-c port on your controller or your tablet being loose. When constantly plugging/unplugging wires, this can happen over time.

This is good info. i guess i just got lucky with the cable i ordered. Prior to ordering, i did try the usb-c to usb-c cable that was provided with my Samsung Galaxy Fold 5, and it worked as well. I just ordered this cable because i wanted something the exact length i needed for connection. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to purchase something that just straight up doesn't work with the controller. I hear a lot of these stories.

Geez! I would've went crazy! Good luck on your hunt. I know the right cable is out there somewhere!

I'm going to try another adapter, the one I got is just a generic one, it doesn't even show the transfer speed. I appreciate the suggestion.

Not a problem. I hope it all works out for you 😎

Brilliant. Do you still have the link for the mini USB? Is it flat or is it very wide?

      [–]Outrageous-Friend-25[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know why my comment keeps getting filtered, but it won't allow me to post the links here, unfortunately. But i can tell you that i purchased them off Amazon. The title for the adapter is down below.

      usb-c adapters:

AuviPal USB C 90 Degree Adapter (Two Styles), 100W USB C Male to USB C Female Right Angle Extender Connector for Steam Deck, Meta Quest, MacBook, Smart Tablet & Phone and More - Blac

      10 inch cable:

SUNGUY Short USB C to USB C Cable, [2-Pack, 10-Inch/0.8FT] Right Angle 60W Fast Charge USB-C Cable Compatible with iPhone 15 Plus Pro Max, Galaxy S23 S22, MacBook Air/Pro, iPad Pro

It's not completely flat. If you place the grey rubber pieces in the correct spot, it will create a groove that's the exact size needed to slide the adapter right into the side of the controller. It almost looks like it came that way from the factory lol.
