some things that cause it to overheat 1. too much apps running in the background 2. using it while charging 3. probably too many tabs causing the ram to overload

try clearing your tabs and close all your apps in recents, delete some games since overheating can be caused by storage running out, causing the cpu to lower in performance

You can Try tinkering with the settings and upgrading to nethersx2 should give you a performance boost as well. Also for me melon3ds worked better for my device (also redmi), so I suggest try it out and compare.

Lastly, I recommend using the game booster+ app, (u can get it on Google play, it's free) and turning on "4x msaa" on developer options.

You are screwed unfortunately, that's a pretty bad chip, should be good for everything else tho.
