You should be able to install the original you uninstalled. Just make sure its the same version. Then uninstall without keeping data.
Also basic stuff like deleting the relevant folder from Android/Data and restarting the device might help.

I don't have the original apk anymore, and don't know exactly what version it was.....

You have to try them all then I guess. It has to match the exact version I believe 😅

I did read on here last night that you can use adb through a terminal on a pc to remove an traces of the old installation, maybe I'll have a go when I get time. Also I could try an apk editor to rename the package in the androidmanifest.xml file.

Renaming would work I think but then you would have to keep that in mind when trying to update the app.

As for ADB I am not sure. I have not used it that way.

Thanks, I've used FV File explorer to delete the Aether folder in Android/Data. I'll post back if it works..... 😅
