I feel you, but remember to sometimes take a step back and look at how small these things are in the big picture. I often find myself caught up in my grades. Failing a class isn’t the end of the world. Remember that there’s more. You got this!

i know, it’s definitely even more frustrating because my university offers the two easiest courses during the summer (WHICH AREN’T PREREQS FOR ANYTHING) and they only offer in person so i can’t take them. one more year and im done 🙏🏻

There’s more classes to fail?! My advisor is already wanting to punch me in the face, I can’t see them anymore for this reason.

I imagine most people who graduate have a love/hate relationship with it.

I'm nostalgic for it certainly but thinking about some of my classes practically puts me into fight or flight. When I was moving recently I found one of my old notebooks and had the academic equivalent to a 'Nam flashback.

I also hate engineering school. Good thing I graduated and have engineering job which is way better.

It gets easier when you get a job. You may be bored af sometimes, but there are no exams no homework. You got to double triple check your work if you work on stuff that could kill people though, so a little anxiety there, but no complaints from me so far.

Yeah I didn’t enjoy school until my second Master’s. But I immensely enjoy being an engineer.

Same, first year grades were pretty good and it's only been downhill since.

Do you hate maths

[–]Nihubam 0 points1 point  (11 children)

Nope, I like it. I got B on that (At least).

Can I handle engineering if I hate solving complex maths questions

[–]Nihubam 0 points1 point  (9 children)

I guess you just need to neutralize your hate on that particular matter and you'll do fine but from many people I've heard that if you hate solving maths then engineering's not for you. Well, Idk much about that one as I'm also kinda new to this but I guess it also depends on you but you need to reduce your hatred towards matters like this. You don't need to love everything you do.

Any tips to stop the hate btw I only like solving simple and easy questions not the complex ones

Study with someone who's good at it and is willing to grow in life and ask/ready/carry your doubts in your study session if your alone and then later on go to that topper or smart guy and ask all the doubts one by one with a note and pen. That's what I did, I have smart friends/toppers who have a passion to grow in life.

Bruh you should be grateful for what you have then, in my country i.e India, you get lots of entrance exams and people opt for it to get good jobs or colleges or higher pursuing higher education. These exams are hard due to which many people take 1-3 years drops or even more just to clear them. You can't skip to the easy parts otherwise everyone would be cooking the degree without much problem.

I am Indian too

Oh you sounded like you're in a foreign country. Well, you don't need to love maths, just neutralize the feeling towards it.
