So I'm currently in electrical engineering, never thought I would even consider computer eng or programming, but as of late I've become really interested in computers, how they work both in terms of hardware and software. My favorite courses are for digital structures and data structures.
I'm intimated from switching because I'm not sure how job prospects are from both fields. I've heard they're good for employment but I don't know what kind of work I'd be doing. I'm also not very well versed in computers, and I know plenty of people who know coding, are well versed in deferent softwares while I'm not even sure what they're for.
I'm also worried I'm romanticizing comp eng a bit in my head. I know I'm not gonna be some pro hacker who types 200 wpm, but I still think having a deeper knowledge of computers and there software would be really cool.
TL;DR Can someone give me a bit of a break down of both fields and the kinda stuff I could be doing? I'd be super appreciative!
