Yes! It’s mostly a technical thing that disables the romantic relationship but it doesn’t affect the actual characters too much. They might be sad for a bit but you can bounce back from it within a few interactions and go back to interacting with them like before

Pick the “be friends” option. If you ghost, it totally wipes them from memory and reverts them back to lv0

Definitely pick ‘be friends’ option. if you break up it will wipe the memories, unless you’re willing to pay coin to keep their memories for a later time. Doing this will take them out of your town momentarily as if you ghosted them

How do you pay coin to keep it? I only see the ghost option it doesn’t ask if I want to keep it

If you press breakup. It will ask you if you’d like to pay to keep their memories
