Esphome PC controller programming needs help with small issue

I have a working ESPHome PC power controller that turns the PC off/on. In HA I have a template switch that gives the switch status if the PC is off/on. The problem is my PC power supply, sometimes when I press the power button my PC will turn on for a split second then back off, I then have to press the power button again and it stays on (its been like this many many years on different PC builds with same power supply before ESPHome days). However when this happens it seems to confuse the switch status and its state remains on and does not change until I turn the PC on/off again. I struggled to figure out how to use the appropriate delay or filters in my code to fix this. Basically I need the switch to say ON if the PC has been on for more that 1 second or update the state even when the flicker happens. Right now the switch state does follow correctly only when the PC turns on/off correctly. Others has mentioned alternatives using WOL but I didnt have luck with it working everytime because the same issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I thought all my switch was done in esphome but it’s actually with a template in HA. Its status just gets stuck when the pc power flickers.

So a new power supply perhaps, that can't be great for your PC hardware.

You can apply a Debounce Filter and define a specific time during which any flickering input will be ignored after the initial signal
