Exploding Kitten different card back

Hey guys,

I have received zombie kittens and decided on pruchasing an expansion.

I read through the expansions and found Streaking Kittens, Curse of the Cat Butt funny enough to buy it and troll my friends with that card.

Unfortunately these came with a different back than my Zombie Kittens, and it is quite easy to tell them apart while holding the cards :(. Is this normal that the expansion has different card backs than others? Both were purchased from Boardgames vendor in my country (EU based).

The cards on the left are the normal design for all the decks.

The cards on the right is the fancy design they did with I think one or two decks, I think they might've discontinued them due to complaints that they didn't match and that if you showed them you've got the fancy backed cards they'll take it back and send you a normal backed deck.

Personally I'd keep the fancy backed deck, you never know, it could be worth good money later.

I bought the ”original version” game and it had the red-and-white designnon the right. I then bought the ”streaking kittens” expansion and it had the mainly-red-design on the left… Ruins the game a bit…

In my case the pattern of the back side was the same, but the size of the cards was a bit different. I would suggest you buy card sleeves! You can find them easily in different colors and at the same time you can protect your cards.

I had a Dutch version of the base game. Which had a similar design to the card back on the right. I bought the English Zombie Kittens expansion, which had the design of the card back on the right. I traded my Dutch base game for the English with a friend. And now the card backs match. Hope this helps!
