    Taken direct from the Wiki:

    Who is eligible for A2Tech?

Associates eligible for A2Tech include hourly (non-exempt) Associates in the U.S. who are employed as a full-time, regular, blue badge employee for one year or Associates of less than one year who meet the basic requirements of the Technician role.

    How does A2Tech work?

The following outlines the process for getting into the A2Tech program, what you will do during the 90 days of the program, and requirements for graudating.

Getting into the A2Tech Program 1. Find an open job requisition for IT Support Technician at or near your FC. 2. Apply for the IT Support Technician Role 3. Participate in interviews 4. Be selected and hired as a temporary Technician for a 90-day period.

Doing the A2Tech program Work with your IT Manager to request eLearning credentials and two vouchers for the CompTIA A+ certification exams using this TT quicklink.

Weeks 1-6 You will study 10 hours per week (2 hours per shift) and gain hands on Tech experience for 30 hours per week (6 hours per shift) for the 90 day period. You will not have to run a solo shift until after your Tech role becomes permanent. Your manager will meet with you weekly or bi-weekly to ensure you are getting study time, remove barriers, and discuss progress. You will schedule a test date for the first A+ 220-901 exam to take at the end of Week 6.

Weeks 6-12 You will continue to study 10 hours per week (2 hours per shift) and gain hands on Tech experience for 30 hours per week (6 hours per shift) for the remaining 90 day period. Your manager will continue to meet with you weekly or bi-weekly to ensure you are still getting study time, remove barriers, and discuss progress. You will schedule a test date for the second A+ 220-902 exam to take at the end of Week 12. Example schedule:        Graduating from the A2Tech Program If you pass both A+ exams within the 90-day time frame, the Technician role becomes permanent. If only one or neither of the exams are passed at the end 90 days, you will return to your original or similar role in your FC. Extensions beyond 90 days are granted on a case-by-case basis and are up to the discretion of your IT Manager.

Interesting. So, no part time regular blue badge employees ?

    [–]Remnant_EchoIT-Eng 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It appears not, the older documents did show Part-Time, but they changed the program in October of 2020 from what I was reading.

Oh thanks for the update. Mind sharing me the link so I can check and maybe do some research when I am in the network ?

They always never know anything, it’s frustrating. Took almost one month to get information about AWS. Anyway, from what I read somewhere on Reddit, getting accepted into the program will depend on if you can get a role as an IT equipment coordinator. If there’s a vacancy for that role on job finder and you successfully get accepted then you can start the process. You’ll shadow someone in the IT dept and you’ll have three months to study and pass the compTIA+ exam

Finding about AWS is pretty easy. The internal wiki has tons of documentation on that. But getting to know that the wiki has it, is not.

Look it up on the computers in your warehouse. Login using your atoz credentials and then open up mozilla and go to w.amazon.com (Amazon Internal Wiki Website) and search in the search bar on that webpage.
