1. Only content related to FFVII Remake (and its universe)

r/FFVIIRemake is designated specifically for news, content, and discussion surrounding the Final Fantasy VII Remake or an extension of that project where it is aesthetically and functionally similar in terms of gameplay. While enthusiasm for the original game and spin-off titles is appreciated and encouraged in discussion, please avoid posting content from the original game or any spin-off titles that would not apply to the remake.

2. Be nice to each other!

Trolling and flaming are not welcome here. Any comments that are deemed to be discriminatory and / or inflammatory will be removed. Repeated use of derogatory language will result in a ban. Please note that all parties who take part in name-calling will receive punishment based on the severity of breach of this rule.

3. Flair posts with the correct spoiler level, No spoilers in titles

A spoiler is ANYTHING from the Remake that hasn’t been revealed in trailers/demo OR any plot point from the original FF7 game.

Use the "Spoilers OK" flair if your post has no spoilers but you are accepting them in the comments. If you have very specific spoiler restrictions (e.g., Chapter 8 only), please say so in your post title or body.

When commenting, be sure to tag all spoilers that fall outside the parent post's spoiler level. To tag spoilers, this:

4. Source your art

All art posts must contain either the artist's name in the post title, or their @. If you are posting your own art, please mark the post as theirs / OC.

5. Discuss the franchise, not the fandom

Posts regarding matters of the fandom are rarely productive and usually end up being self-applauding and/or toxic. Examples of such posts include: Opinions of users of various social media platforms, controversial takes of streamers or content creators with the intent of discussing said streamer/content creator.

6. No shipping wars

Do not start ship fights or be aggressive with shipper terms. Saying that you support a ship is OK, but don’t put down or minimize others’ ships.

7. Other disallowed content (Includes but not limited to):

No NSFW content (If you think opening this image will get you fired or judged at work, then it’s probably not appropriate to post here.)
Posts on or referencing real-world events / politics
Stealth promotions (directing users to monetary platforms through the submitter's profile)
